It is our belief that claims and litigation can have a detrimental effect on a school district not only in their reputation within their community and with the public at large but also in their financial bottom line. Therefore, each district is a partner in the litigation management plans that are formulated.
Our Litigation Management philosophy ensures that we hire only the best and the brightest in the legal community. We do not select firms. We select individual attorneys whose qualifications and specialized expertise meet our criteria. Specifically, we require special expertise in the areas of school law, appellate work, arbitration, arson, catastrophic loss, environmental/land use, subrogation, school board errors and omissions, employment liability, sexual abuse, harassment, and special education.
The WSRMP Coverage Agreement is written by us, and approved by our members, to specifically and exclusively meet the unique coverage needs of our membership. It is reviewed and updated every year. The Coverage Agreement is broad and includes education-based coverage and services such as: Pre-Claim Investigation Coverage, Pre-Loss Program, Special Education Coverage, and school bus replacement cost coverage, to name just a few.
